While other construction industry trade shows have suffered declines in attendance, post-frame industry insiders were not surprised to see a better than 10 percent attendance increase over last year’s show, says John Fullerton, vice president of the National Frame Building Association.
The bright, upbeat Frame Building Expo, held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn., Feb. 25-27, exceeded expectations.
About 2,275 builders, engineers, architects, suppliers and others participated in the trade show. That represents a 10-plus percent head count over the ’08 show in Columbus , Ohio.
Frame Building Expo is the only event where post-frame industry professionals from across the nation can mingle and share ideas. In addition to more than 130 exhibiting companies, there were classes and info sessions presented by experts in the field, show floor demonstrations , contests, entertainment and new products to preview.
For those who missed this year’s Expo, there’s always next time: Mark the calendar now for the 2010 Frame Building Expo to be held February 17 -19 in Louisville, Ky.
