This retail center containing 4 units was built for Keinath & Heatwolfe, LLC. Construction of a new business in Heath, Ohio is always important to this growing town. This strip mall is located on a very busy highway and has had a positive impact on the business community.
The design is simple and functional for use as a retail center. The building was designed to have the appearance of a flat roof, but actually has a 2/12 pitch mono truss metal roof system. The building also features embedded posts on the back wall and monolithic footing on the front three walls with posts attached to the top. It features brick on the front three walls and metal on the back for a maintenance-free exterior. Each unit has a storefront window and door, featuring porch style awnings made of Sunbrella Fabric.
Post-frame was the basic design for the entire project. “Stick build” construction was considered, but was not feasible for the time frame necessary to meet a completion date. Post-frame also met other areas important to the purchaser, The new location of the Heath Retail Center was a pleasant surprise to everyone traveling State Route 79 through Heath, Ohio. Since opening in April 2008, there has been generous support of this new center. Many patrons have commented about the beauty of the building and how fast it was constructed.
