Feed Mill, a new restaurant in Poseyville, Ind., is half way between St. Louis and Louisville with nothing but small towns in between. Travelers along I-64 discover the towering Feed Mill that seats 250 people. The center portion rises to 54 feet. The roof is topped off by a grain elevator chute and antique barn cupola. Post-frame allows for varied height and truss configurations and fit well with various themed dining areas. The energy efficiency of post-frame is important to the owners. Post-frame allows for uncompressed insulation in the walls and ceilings to get the most return from the insulation investment.

Benson Corners Antique Mall, built for Mike and Karen Sheffield, is a commercial antique mall with dozens of booths for dealers. It replaces an older building that was half the square footage. Affordability was the main reason post-frame was chosen for the project. The owner realized that post-frame gives the building size he wanted in the budget range he needed. Flexibility also played a large part in the decision, allowing dealer spaces to be adapted as needed.
