Brian Stern, Nordstrom Construction & Lumber in Melrose, Wis., is the Frame Building News Magazine Crew Foreman of the Month for August.
Stern has worked in the post-frame industry for over 38 years and is considered a dedicated, model foreman.
He initially worked with Norman Nordstrom for five years, before Nordstrom Construction & Lumber became incorporated. When Norman died in 1975, Stern took over Norman’s share of the business and has remained with the company ever since.
Stern’s co-workers say his wonderful work ethic is demonstrated in many areas of his daily routine, including his ability to make the most out of the materials and labor provided to any one project.
The number of hours allotted to any one of his projects usually comes in under the hours budgeted for it, and clients are always pleased with his crews’ work. His great reputation is one that has traveled well among many previous and current customers, says the nomination that earned him this honor.
Give a foreman a bonus: recognition in Frame Building News and a $100 check, compliments of American Building Components.
One monthly winner, chosen at the end of the year, will be named Foreman of the Year and will receive $500 and recognition at the Frame Building Expo in February.
