Recession? ‘We’re not interested,’ say WFBA members

An upbeat, positive group of builders met this week in Oshkosh, Wis., for the Wisconsin Frame Builders Association winter meeting.

Among the topics NOT on the agenda are issues that smack of "doom and gloom," and the R-word (recession).
In fact,  "a recession has been canceled for lack of interest,"  one hardy group member quipped. "We refuse to participate in any recession," chimed in another. Brave talk indeed from folks who braved subzero Wisconsin temperatures to attend the gathering.

They did hear from NFBA legal counsel Gary Auman, on safety and OSHA issues, and from Dave Bohnhoff, Ph.D., P.E., University of Wisconsin-Madison, Engineering Department, and other top speakers.

The group also toured the Rosendale Dairy facility located in nearby Pickett, Wis. The mega-dairy, still in process of completion, will boast 4,000 head of cattle and plans to expand to 8,000 head.
WFBA looks forward to its spring and summer events, including a sporting clay shooting event June 10 and golf outing August 12.
