As of this April, updated National Appliance Energy Conservation Act (NAECA) standards from the U.S. Department of Energy have increased water heater efficiency requirements, driving major product changes in the U.S. market. According to the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC), the former practice of “yank and replace” no longer cuts it. Selecting a water heater today requires looking at more factors — and a wider range of technology solutions.
To help with the process, PERC has created a new stock of research and resources available at Buildwithpropane.com. Offered are a number of free downloads and free educational courses designed to simplify your water heating decision, so you can provide customers with the most efficient technology with the best-performing energy source.
