An intensive look at Structural Design of Post-Frame Building Systems will be offered in an online course Wednesday, June 22.
The course is ideal if you are an engineer or architect with a comfortable understanding of post-frame building systems, or if you are a builder who had taken the Introduction to Post-Frame Building Systems course on www.nfba.org or www.postframeadvantage.com.
In this one-and-a-half hour session, from 2-3:30 PM (Eastern time) the following topics will be covered:
• Design procedures for determining the in-plane shear strength and stiffness of metal-clad, wood-framed roof and shear wall panels.
• Diaphragm design principles and structural models for the post-frame system.
• Detailed discussion of the computer program, DAFI, for conducting diaphragm design of post-frame systems.
• Design of isolated shallow post-frame foundation systems.
AIA and PDH credits available (1.5 LU/CEU)
