After spending a week bending metal for roofing, siding and windows of a large house under renovation, general contractor Lee Buck, owner of Buck’s Remodeling, knew there had to be a better way. “I tried other metal [brake] attachments in the past and the process was still not fast enough. Then, in the middle of the night, I woke from a dead sleep with the idea. I started writing, working on a prototype, then a patent, and two-and-a-half years later, here I am ready to market the most amazing development to the metal brake that I have ever seen,” he said.
His trademarked Brake Accelerator is manufactured by his company, Game Changer Innovations LLC, out of Coopertown, Tennessee. It is made from a durable, high-quality aluminum and stainless steel that attaches on to any Tapco or Van Mark brake with one stop in the rear to facilitation cutting metal, and three stops in the front for bending.
Buck says his invention quadruples the time savings for bending metal. “What job used to take me a day, I can complete in two hours or less,” he said.
