Custom-Bilt Metals entered into a licensing agreement to distribute Roof Hugger’s patented sub-purlin systems in the western states including Hawaii and Alaska. Tony Chiovare, president, says, "This is an exciting and new venture for Custom-Bilt that enables our vast list of roofing contractors to expand their business into new energy-efficient retrofit roofing opportunities."
Roof Hugger, Inc. is equally excited and honored to work with the Custom-Bilt Team. Mark James, VP sales & marketing, for Roof Hugger said, "This licensing arrangement will benefit everyone that is interested in metal-over-metal retrofit applications in the western states. Roof Hugger has been manufacturing our products from a Spokane, Wash., location for a few years now and we are confident we will be able to accommodate Custom-Bilt’s demand plus continue to service our current customer base in that region."
As part of this agreement, Custom-Bilt and Roof Hugger recently tested the CB-2000 2”x16” standing seam metal roof system over open-framing with very favorable results. This enables Custom-Bilt to satisfy the wind speeds that are prevalent in all of the western states including coastal areas.
