IRE hosting community service day

The 2011 International Roofing Expo is offering attendees and exhibitors the opportunity to give back to the Las Vegas community during Community Service Day on Tuesday, February 15, 2011.
Held from 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Community Service Day is a home renovation and revitalization project that will be performed on homes of elderly veterans.
“This gratifying event is a perfect opportunity to help those less fortunate,” says Lindsay Roberts, director of the Expo. "It’s especially rewarding to give back to veterans who have devoted their lives to public service and protecting our freedom.”
To help with the renovations, professional and amateur volunteers are needed from a variety of construction disciplines including interior/exterior painting and clean up, flooring and minor carpentry. Working under the direction of a crew chief, all volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and will be asked to sign a waiver of liability form.
Community Service Day is sponsored by Sika Sarnafil, who will be exhibiting in booth #426. NRCA and Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada have also partnered with the IRE to host this very important event.
“I encourage all of our members to participate in this great cause,” said Bill Good, executive vice president of NRCA, the show’s official show sponsor.  “The fact that we’re helping veterans makes this even more special.  It’s wonderful to know they’ll have a better place to call home.”
Show participants can register for this event at the same time they register to attend the show at  There is a $25 fee that includes lunch and transportation. Tax-deductible monetary donations can also be made during registration.
The International Roofing Expo will be held February 16-18, 2011, in the North Halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada USA.  Visit or contact Show Management at, 972.536.6415 or 800.684.5761 for more information.
