McElroy Metal acquires assets of Components Plus

McElroy Metal purchased select assets of Components Plus, Inc. In addition to a wide variety of roll formers, tooling, trim presses and other equipment, McElroy Metal also acquired CPI’s Sunnyvale, Texas, manufacturing facility. The Sunnyvale location will operate as McElroy Metal’s 11th manufacturing facility.

While some purchased equipment will be utilized in Sunnyvale, other equipment will be positioned in other McElroy Metal manufacturing locations depending on internal and marketplace needs.

“These acquisitions will bolster McElroy Metal’s line of products, especially for the self-storage industry. McElroy Metal is a leading component supplier to self-storage contractors and we believe the addition of CPI’s panel and trim profiles will be an excellent addition for our self storage customers,” says Ian McElroy, president of McElroy Metal.

The Sunnyvale manufacturing facility is within the Dallas Metroplex area.  “This location will greatly enhance our ability to service the Texas and Oklahoma marketplace,” says McElroy.

Since 1963, McElroy Metal has served the construction industry with high quality metal roofing and siding along with excellent customer service. McElroy Metal, a five-time winner of the Metal Roofing Magazine Metal of Honor award and a 27-time winner of Rural Builder‘s Gold Key of Excellence Award, has 11 manufacturing facilities and 19 Service Centers across the United States.
