The National Roofing Contractors Association University will hold Photovoltaic Roof Systems: Energizing Your Business, a one-day class in which participants will learn how to properly design, install and maintain photovoltaic roof systems, October 16 in Essington, Pa.
The class will discuss the latest information about the terminology, benefits, design considerations, construction details, electrical considerations, code compliance, and business and legal issues associated with PV roof systems. Class participants will have the opportunity to interact with technical experts James Kirby, vice president of sustainability for the Center for Environmental Innovation in Roofing, and Kris Sutton, an industry expert specializing in environmental and PV design and construction.
Additionally, class participants will receive complimentary copies of NRCA Guidelines for Roof Systems with Rooftop Photovoltaic Components and Building Owners Guide to Roof-mounted Photovoltaic Systems, which will serve as the program’s technical basis.
