84 Lumber says it is reorganizing into four targeted divisions in its drive to expand nationwide.
According to a company press release issued June 22, the company will reorganize into Central, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Southwest divisions. The Central division will be the largest, with nearly 90 stores throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia and New York.
“This is an exciting time for our company,” said Frank Cicero, chief operating officer at 84 Lumber. “As we look forward in 2017 we see great opportunities across the organization. It’s critical to have the right team and the right resources in the right places. With this new divisional reorganization, 84 Lumber is poised for strategic growth.”
The company, founded in 1956 in Eighty-Four, Pennsylvania, launched into national exposure with its first-ever Super Bowl commercial this past winter. On the heels of that success, 84 Lumber has continued to hire and promote talent throughout the organization. Recent hires include Paul Yater as chief information officer. Recent promotions include David Cochran to vice president of store operations, Jason Hinsken to vice president of installed sales, Jim Barbes to vice president of national sales and the appointment of divisional vice presidents Billy Ball (Southeast), Rob Woodrow (Southwest) and Dave Dahl (Mid-Atlantic).
