Fire-resistant OSB sheathing earns UL approval
LP FlameBlock Fire-Resistant OSB Sheathing passed fire testing by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) with flying colors.  Three rounds of fire testing went beyond requirements to earn a UL label. Designed to slow the spread of heat and flames, the product features a thin coating of non-toxic magnesium oxide cement and fiberglass strongly bonded to oriented strand board (OSB). The coating is highly resistant to fire, while simultaneously increasing the structural performance of the panel.

Shear panel gets IBC/IRC code compliance verification
The iLevel Shear Brace pre-fabricated shear panel has received ICC-ES 2009 IBC/IRC code compliance verification for building designs that include homes, multi-family and light commercial construction. The updated ICC-ES Evaluation Report (ESR-2652) addresses iLevel Shear Brace’s use in both prescriptive and engineered solutions for tall walls up to 20 feet high and two-story structures.
The iLevel Shear Brace can be trimmed in the field, allowing builders to customize it to fit. It can be nailed, and further simplifies work  by providing pre-drilled chases and holes for wiring and lights.
iLevel Shear Brace is available in a range of heights from 7 to 20 feet, and widths of 12, 18 and 24 inches. The product provides a way to build stable braced walls in narrow wall segments with multiple window and door openings, including around garage doors.
