The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) announces the publication of ANSI/BHMA A156.6 – 2010 American National Standard for Architectural Door Trim.

A156.6 – 2010 includes strength and finish tests, as well as dimensional and material criteria for architectural door hardware. Door protection plates, door edgings, push plates, door pulls, push bars, and pull bars are included in the architectural door hardware category.

This revision clarifies that door edging mortise applications are limited to wood and laminate door materials, the door squareness tolerance, and updates the editions of each referenced standard and its formatting.

For more information, or to purchase additional copies of this or any other standards, please visit BHMA’s bookstore at www.buildershardware.com. You can also order standards by phone by calling 800-699-9277. (Purchased standards are available as printed documents or electronic files (PDF) for immediate download.)
