Visitors to METALCON 2009 in Tampa Bay, Fla. October 6-8 can see Combilift’s multi-directional forklift trucks. at The company will be exhibiting its C10000XL model and the new COMBI-CB.
Combilift is a customized forklift designed to suit every customer’s application and solve their handling problems from storage issues, safety concerns with the ability to operate both indoors and outdoors.
Metal companies face unique challenges in handling long, wide and awkward loads such as frames, metal roofing, wall panels and structural steel beams. The industry has sought many ways to find solutions to improve material handling, and the trend emerging is that the Combilift multi-directional forklift solves these material handling safety problems while also bringing the added benefits of increasing storage space, improving productivity and efficiency.
Combilift offers to survey a company’s operations before recommending a Combilift designed specifically to meet their needs and improve material handling workflow, enhance safety and productivity, increase storage space and equally importantly make their yard safer. A reach mast system allows a long load of metal to be retracted and tested on the Load Supporting Platform of the Combilift rather than on the two forks, lowering the center of gravity and providing greater stability when traveling.
Unlike a conventional forklift there is no need for the Combilift to travel with loads held in an elevated position by the forks,
which is not only unsafe but leads to severe mast wear and tear in conventional forklifts.
One company benefiting from ‘The Combilift Advantage’ is Mueller, Inc, Ballinger, Texas, a manufacturer of pre-engineered metal building and residential metal roofing products. Mueller first introduced Combilift to its operations in 2003 and today operates 32 Combilifts across 15 locations.
Available in LPG, Diesel and Electric the Combilift has no complicated electronics and is both operator and maintenance friendly making it an excellent all-round solution for small and large companies operating in tight, closed areas. The Combilift range are equipped with all-wheel hydrostatic drive providing superb outdoor as well as indoor capability and can also operate in
semi-rough terrain and even snow making it a cost effective solution for metal related industries.
Combilift is experiencing double digit growth year on year and with over 10,000 units operating in over 50 countries, The C10000XL and Combi –CB complement the already extensive Combilift range that varies in capacities now from 5,000lbs to
55,000 lbs, and is offered in several chassis configurations to fit every type of long load application
