St. Jude project gets window donation

Simonton Windows has donated a house full of energy-efficient, low-maintenance Simonton windows to the St. Jude Dream Home giveaway in Morgantown, W. Va. Representatives from A Homes broke ground on November 13 for the 1,682-square-foot, single story home located in The Meadows at The Meadows Pond Golf Course.
The house will be given away during the summer of 2009 to a lucky raffle winner. Raffle tickets are priced at $100 each and will be available starting April 3. All proceeds raised from the raffle will benefit research and treatment of pediatric cancer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Tennessee.
“We’re proud to supply the windows for this home so that funding can be raised for St. Jude,” says Mark Savan, president of Simonton Windows. “When communities come together to create a valuable project like this, everyone benefits.”
The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, created in 1991, is the largest single-event fundraiser for St. Jude nationwide. More than $148 million has been collected as a result of many homes created and raffled away to benefit the non-profit organization.
