The Canadian Construction Materials Centre has recently approved many Palram products. The CCMC is similar to the International Code Council approval in the United States. This is a required approval for sales of construction materials in the Canadian market. The following Palram products have received approval in Evaluation Report 13450-R: PalramSuntuf, Palruf, Palopaque, Sunlite, Palsun, and Suntop.

Palram“Entry into the Canadian construction products market is a strategic accomplishment for Palram,” stated Mark Weaver, Technical Services Manager. “Having CCMC approval will streamline the permitting process for the contractor and the homeowner.”

The approval is not listed on the National Research Council Canada’s website yet, as their registry is updated on a quarterly basis. An excerpt from the Evaluation Report 13450-R is as follows:

Suntuf, Palruf, Palopaque, Sunlite, Palsun, and Suntop (polycarbonate and polyvinyl chloride panels)” when used as a canopy covering in accordance with the conditions and limitations stated in Section 3 of CCMC Evaluation Report #13450-R, complies with the National Building Code 2010.
