OSHA: Beware the ‘big four’

One of the most useful industry newsletters around for workplace safety issues comes from J.J. Keller & Associates in Neenah, Wis.

The current issue reports that OSHA is taking a hard look at the four leading causes of workplace fatalities:
Falls
Electrocutions
Caught in or between
Struck by

You can expect OSHA compliance personnel to pay closer attention to these issues when conducting inspections in both general industry and construction, says Keller.  Further, under certain targeting and emphasis programs, these types of hazards can even bring OSHA to your door.
