Good news: Celebrations, expansions

Leland Industries celebrates 25th anniversary
More than 200 people partied in a tent on the front lawn at Leland Industries Inc. Scarborough, Ontario, home in September as the manufacturer celebrated its 25th birthday.
What began with two bolt-making machines in 1984 in 2,000 sq. ft. of rented space has grown to occupy 155,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space, warehouse and office space on a 10-acre campus.
Leland is a dominant supplier for grain bin and agricultural storage buildings in North America. What started as a product line for the agricultural market has expanded to include fastener products for commercial and industrial construction and metal roofing.
Leland has seven sales and warehouse branches strategically located across the U.S. and Canada to serve the North American market and also services accounts in Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean. During the current downturn in the economy, Leland has maintained full employment.
