Kevin Darnell, president of Texas-based M & F Litteken Co., has been honored by Varco Pruden, one of the nation’s leading providers of metal building systems.
Darnell received the “Legend in Steel “award, Varco Pruden’s highest honor, during the firm’s recent builders meeting in Orlando, Florida. M & F Litteken Co. is a general contractor in Wichita Falls, Texas, that specializes in commercial and industrial projects.
The award is given to a Varco Pruden Builder based on the person’s outstanding contributions to Varco Buildings, its network of builders and the overall systems construction industry.
Darnell, who has more than 30 years experience in metal building systems, has served on a number of key Varco Pruden advisory boards including the President’s Advisory Council. In addition, Darnell is also currently serving as president of the West Texas Chapter of the Association of General Contractors of America.
Varco Pruden, a division of BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc., has a network of more than 1,000 builders in the United States and Canada.
Darnell’s company, which he co-owns with his wife Jean, was founded in 1912 and has been in constant operation as M & F Litteken Co. since 1946. In 1967 the company was incorporated in the State of Texas. The company has grown into a full-service general contractor, construction manager, and a design-build contractor serving the North Texas and Southern Oklahoma areas.
