Point Builders, one of the largest metal building contractors in the United States for the past decade, has been named Builder of the Year by Varco Pruden Buildings, one of the industry’s largest providers of metal building systems.
Varco Pruden has a network of approximately 1,000 authorized builders in the United States and Canada. The award is presented to the VP builder who is the volume sales leader for the previous calendar year.
With offices in Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids, Davenport and Des Moines, Point Builders serves the central and eastern portions of Iowa and Western Illinois. During the past decade, Point Builders has erected multiple pre-engineered metal buildings that are 100,000 square feet or larger.
The company, which was founded in 1988, has received more than 40 first-place national awards of excellence for pre-engineered buildings.
Point Builders also had winners in Varco Pruden’s annual Hall of Fame Awards, presented annually to the Authorized VP Builders whose work reflects outstanding integration of building systems, products and design.
Chris Wheeler, Point Builders vice president, says pleasing the client has been the most important ingredient in the company’s recipe for growth.
