Englert, Inc. announced it has fulfilled its commitment as an Energy Star Partner by re-certifying all of its 28 roof coatings.
To meet recertification requirements, the company participated in third-party verification testing conducted by the Cool Roof Rating Council, a certification body recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for roof products. This included random verification testing of selected products for solar reflectance and thermal emittance. Englert’s results were within .05 of the original rating from its 2011 values.
By complying with current ENERGY STAR eligibility criteria, Englert roof coatings meet program performance requirements and test procedures for roof products. Englert UltraCool coatings can increase the reflectivity of medium to darker color roofs, allowing architects and builders to enhance the appearance of their projects while cutting warm weather energy costs by keeping the roof and interior spaces cooler. Ultra-Cool coatings also help reduce urban smog by reducing environmental temperatures and increase the life expectancy of the roof by reducing expansion and contraction.
