Robert Green, Pioneer Pole Buildings, Inc. — First Place
Built for Sussex County Fairgrounds, this new Farmers Market building serves as an attractive, roomy building for northern New Jersey farmers to sell goods. The fairgrounds site has several other post-frame constructed buildings and its operators believe in the quality and durability of these structures. The completion and subsequent grand opening of the Farmers Market was greeted enthusiastically by the local agricultural community, as well as the general public, as evidenced by the large turnout on the day of the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony.

Hochstetler Buildings, Inc. — Second Place
The building replaces Camp Mowana’s post-and-beam bank barn that was destroyed by fire in fall 2008. The housing of livestock required storm shelter for activities in that quadrant of the camp as well as an activity hub. These features, along with serving as storage facility for the cumbersome equipment required for outdoor education, are all important functions of this beautiful and functional facility. This new facility broadens the growth and development opportunities for the southwest quadrant of the camp. The large front porch provides “old barn” charisma and a great gathering area for groups of campers. The country feel of this facility was completed with brick red siding, polar white trims, and charcoal gray roofing.


FBi Buildings, Inc. — Third Place
This building for Todd Peacock Farms is used for family farm implement storage and maintenance. The main exterior has a three-part color scheme and well placed mansard roofs for function and aesthetics. A custom made 8-sided cupola is the crown in the middle of the building. The overall size and flexibility of the post-frame construction helped with flow and placement of doors, and also serves as an envelope against wind. The beautiful color scheme and the awesome cupolas on top make this building stand out.
