Sibley Park Horse Barn, built for the City of Mankato, Minn.,  fits into the city’s “storybook farm” site which also houses a petting zoo. This building is home to miniature horses, as well as an occasional llama and other zoo animals. The City of Mankato chose to release this to bid as a post-frame building to lower the overall cost, while providing the necessary design flexibility to incorporate the “storybook farm” design into the project.

• John Fuog of Fuog/InterBuild, Inc., Purcellville, Va.Martin Horse Barn, built for Mitchell and Tammy Martin, is a horse barn that is also used for storage of property management equipment. Post-frame was employed to ease foundation difficulties and create an open ceiling area for spaciousness.
