We are inviting all contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers to submit projects for the 2021 Idea Book—a special issue of Metal Roofing Magazine (submission form here, and at end of post).

Our annual Idea Book profiles more than 25 leading roofing projects. Each project is presented in-depth, explaining the different looks, materials, and components that made it possible. Along with each project, we include information on the equipment and components that were used (such as panels, metal shingles, insulation, underlayment, and fasteners).

The 2021 Idea Book will be available to our subscribers in mid-May—use it for project inspiration and make it work for your business!

2020 Idea Book

PROJECT DEADLINE: MARCH 1, 2021
Requirements for All Submissions:

  1. Photos of the completed building (at least 3-4 high-resolution photographs)
  2. Building details:
    1. Building type/use (home, school, etc.)
    2. Building size
    3. Building location (approximate/general)
    4. Architect
    5. Contractor(s) – including contact information if available
    6. Installer(s) – including contact information if available
  3. Products used:
    1. Building system manufacturer (if applicable)
    2. Roof panels
    3. Wall/cladding panels
    4. Insulation
    5. Ventilation
    6. Underlayment
    7. Fascia
    8. Soffit
    9. Fasteners
    10. Sealant
    11. Snow guards
    12. Rain handling
    13. Cupolas, weather vanes, or other decorative elements
    14. Other
  4. General description of the project (What did the customer want? What special elements set it apart? What were the challenges faced during insulation? Etc.)
