In keeping with the tradition of providing innovative stone-coated steel roofing solutions for more than 50 years, DECRA Roofing introduced DECRA Shake XD.
This latest product was designed with easy to use components, much like the popular DECRA Shingle system. According to DECRA president/CEO Bo Hudson, “DECRA’s easy to use ‘cut & tuck’ technology offers roofing contractors, with no previous metal experience, the opportunity to offer and successfully install a DECRA stone-coated steel roof.”
Emulating the classic beauty and architectural detail of a thick rustic, hand-split wood shake, SHAKE XD featured DECRA’s proven “cut & tuck” technology and is available in two uniquely blended colors: Antique Chestnut and Pinnacle Grey. Shake XD has a unique hidden fastening system and is installed direct to the deck. Shake XD has only 23.4 pieces per square, installs quickly and requires no special tools. Shake XD is the ideal roof, providing the durability and longevity of stone-coated steel. The Shake XD panels are walkable and will not crack, split, curl or break like traditional wood shakes. It is characteristics like these that set Shake XD apart from other roofing materials by offering value, quality and longevity.
Since the development and introduction of DECRA Shingle in 2001, DECRA continues to develop stone-coated steel roofing for the mainstream market. Utilizing “cut & tuck” technology, the easy to install DECRA panels and components can be cut using standard tools and fit into DECRA’s roofing components without special application. DECRA now offers three unique profiles incorporating “cut & tuck” technology: DECRA Shingle, DECRA Villa Tile and DECRA Shake XD.
DECRA roofing systems are available in six profiles for both direct to deck and batten installations offering design and installation flexibility. DECRA roofs have been providing ageless beauty, superior performance and lasting durability for more than 50 years. DECRA profiles are backed by a 50-year limited warrant, a 120 mph wind warranty and are Class 4 impact resistant. Because steel is non-combustible, DECRA products are Class A fire rated.
