From RHEINZINK
The striking new Riverside Museum, designed by world-renowned architect, Zaha Hadid, immerses visitors in Glasgow’s rich history as one of Scotland’s key transportation hubs. With the soft, flowing lines of its spectacular architecture, the building presents an impressive sight. The RHEINZINK-clad roof and façade merge into one element and create intriguing, unique geometries. The titanium zinc material is characterized by exceptional durability that needs absolutely no maintenance. This is due to RHEINZINK’s patina which develops during the course of natural weathering and reliably protects the surface from corrosion.
The façade utilized RHEINZINK’s angled standing seam profile and the roof utilized the double standing seam profile. To assure smoothly flowing lines, the installation process started with the vertical facades. In order to create a seamless transition to the roof, every profile was individually matched to the curves of the building.
With an anticipated 800,000 visitors in its first year, the Riverside Museum is yet another example of the unparalleled design potential that RHEINZINK offers.
