Washington, D.C. – Associated Builders and Contractors today issued the following statement after Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney announced U.S. House Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) as his running mate. ABC endorsed Mitt Romney for president during its Feb. 22 Board of Directors meeting.
“ABC endorsed Governor Romney for president because we believe he possesses the leadership and vision that will restore our nation’s economic prosperity,” says 2012 ABC National Chairman Eric Regelin, president of Granix, LLC, Ellicott City, Md. “By selecting Rep. Paul Ryan as his running mate, Romney reaffirmed his commitment to confronting our toughest challenges head on.
“As House budget chairman, Ryan wrote a federal budget that proposed practical solutions to the gravest and most complex challenges facing our nation — challenges that the Obama administration and the Democrat-controlled Senate lack the vision and courage to fix,” Regelin said.
