The WDMA Technical Conference will be held in Milwaukee at the InterContinental Milwaukee Hotel from June 4-6.
One of this year’s keynote speakers will be Wisconsin’s Secretary of Natural Resources Cathy Stepp, a former homebuilder, who will discuss her agency’s initiatives in the areas of sustainability, including the state’s “Green Tier” program. This voluntary program recognizes and rewards environmental performance that exceeds state regulations. Secretary Stepp is also concentrating on improving the Department of Natural Resources’ customer relations and simplifying permitting to accomplish Gov. Scott Walker’s goal to create jobs in Wisconsin. She believes job creation and environmental protection can be mutually supportive.
