Roofing Industry’s First-Ever Membrane-Coated & Pre-Skirted Snow Retention System
Sno Gem, Inc.®, a McHenry, Ill.,-based corporation has introduced the roofing industry’s first-ever membrane-coated and pre-skirted continuous bar snow retention system (patent pending) for new construction or retrofit applications.
With the Sno Barricade Membrane-Coated Diamond Series System, the base plates are custom-coated in either TPO or PVC with a standard white, gray, black, or a variety of colors to match the roofing membrane. For ease of installation, it is available with a pre-skirted target patch heat welded directly to the PVC or TPO coated base plate. With the inner weld factory completed, the installer simply heat welds Sno Gem’s target patch to the membrane of the roof. This process reduces labor costs and promotes system water tightness.
With all Sno Barricade Systems, options include a 1, 2, or 3 bar system and either 1-inch or 2-inch size bars. Additionally, Sno Gem offers both square and round bars for all the Sno Barricade Systems to best match your building’s profile.
Sno Gem snow guards are designed to protect pedestrian traffic, landscaping, gutters and mechanical equipment from snow and ice slides. Sno Gem employs a dedicated sales staff that is continually educated on the latest advancements in roofing system technology to ensure the right snow retention application for any project.
