Umicore/VM Zinc The first drawings of standing seam metal panels with single and double seam techniques appeared between 1450 and 1500, making the standing seam one of the oldest metal panels used in construction. The VMZ Standing Seam panel system is a traditional technique applied to both roofs and facades. The standing seam panel reflects the individual architect’s concern for lines and shadows by producing designs that have a historical perspective: all of the clips and fasteners are concealed underneath the panel system. This system is particularly suitable for very large surfaces and for structures located in regions of harsh climate that are often subject to snowfall (mountainous or continental climate), strong winds and heavy rain. VMZ Standing Seam panels are available in Quartz-Zinc, Antra-Zinc, Pigmento Blue, Pigmento Red and Pigmento Green colors. |
