MBCI recently introduced its photovoltaic solutions to the marketplace. MBCI offers two different photovoltaic systems. The first is a rigid glass-based polycrystalline silicon module which can be installed on standing seam metal roofs using a non-penetrating clamp that mechanically attaches to the seam. The second offering is flexible thin film which is typically adhered to the metal roof panel in a factory environment, allowing the photovoltaic array to be installed as the roof panels are installed.
Existing and new metal roofs make ideal substrates for PV systems because they can be installed without penetrations of the metal roof panel. Furthermore, a metal roof is poised to outlive the solar equipment, saving removal and replacement costs associated with other roof materials having shorter life spans.
MBCI kits work well for existing or new commercial construction projects. MBCI will provide the education, guidance, technical support and most of the materials needed for a successful solar implementation. Packaged warranties for both the metal roof and photovoltaic systems are available.
